SSS Kabalikat places 2nd in the UNTV basketball tournament

Despite a hard-fought battle, the SSS Kabalikat showed their mettle, settling for a commendable second place in the UNTV basketball championship after losing the do-or-die Game 3 to the Agriculture Foodmasters, 80-101, Monday at the Philsport Arena in Pasig City.

Finals MVP Sean Co, with his impressive 25 points and game-high eight assists, led the Agriculture Foodmasters to their historic first championship ring in their first UNTV Cup Finals appearance. Reigning regular season MVP and scoring champion EJ De Guzman added 25 points and six assists, contributing significantly to the Foodmasters' victory.

Meanwhile, Glenn Bolocon scored 22 points and eight rebounds for the Kabalikat, who lost the last two games of the best-of-three championship series to Foodmasters.
