SSS is advising members, pensioners, covered employers, and the public that walk-in transactions will be suspended in its offices and branches located in areas declared under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from March 29 to April 4, 2021.
SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Aurora C. Ignacio said the management approved the one-month extension to provide members and employers extra time to create their My.SSS accounts, update contact information, as well as review their loan information.

For this reason, SSS is advising its members, pensioners, covered employers, and the public to continue using its online services and drop box system when transacting with its offices and branches as the national government extends quarantine limits to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The Social Security System (SSS) achieved a 92.03 percent resolution rate for queries, complaints, and requests, said the Civil Service Commission (CSC), attaining the fifth-highest rank among government agencies in the country.
In its Contact Center ng Bayan (CCB) January to December 2020 Report, CSC said the pension fund resolved 1,166 queries, complaints, and requests out of 1,267 calls endorsed through the CCB from the said period.

The Social Security System (SSS) has extended to September 30, 2021 its deadline for pensioners to shift their disbursement accounts to participating banks or e-wallets under the Philippine Electronic Fund Transfer System and Operations Network (PESONet) or Remittance Transfer Companies/Cash Payout Outlets (RTCs/CPOs).
